Điện Biên Đông is a rural district of Điện Biên province in the Northwest region of Vietnam. The district is predominantly mountainous, and was established in 1995.
As of 2003, the district had a population of 48,990. It covers an area of 1,206 km2. The capital lies at Mường Luân, although the only town in the district is Điện Biên Đông.
