1915 genocide in Diyarbekir

In 1915, a systematic anti-Christian genocide was committed by Ottomans in Diyarbekir vilayet, claiming the lives of most Armenians and Syriac Christians living there. The genocide was ordered by governor Mehmed Reshid, partly with the backing of the CUP Central Committee.
