The 1949 Winter Deaflympics (German: Winter-Deaflympics 1949) officially known as the I International Winter Games for the Deaf (German: I Internationale Winterspiele für Gehörlose) is an international multi-sport event that was held from 26 January 1949 to 30 January 1949. This event was hosted by Austria.
The 1st Winter Deaflympics Games were originally scheduled to be held from 29 February to 6 March 1948 in St. Moritz, but was decided to host it in 1949 due to the schedule of 1948 Winter Olympics.
