1980 Honduran Constituent Assembly election

Constituent Assembly elections were held in Honduras on 20 April 1980. In July the Assembly elected Policarpo Paz García as president.

Civilian rule was established in 1980, replacing rule by the military. Following the Constituent Assembly elections, the first general elections since 1971 were held in 1981.
