The 1987 Miami Hurricanes football team represented the University of Miami as an independent during the 1987 NCAA Division I-A football season. It was the program's 62nd season of competition. Led by fourth-year head coach Jimmy Johnson, the Hurricanes compiled a perfect record of 12–0 overall with a victory in the Orange Bowl over Oklahoma, to win the program's second national championship. The team played home games at the Miami Orange Bowl in Miami.
