The 1991–92 Courage League National Division One was the fifth season of the first tier of the English league system, currently known as the Gallagher Premiership. Bath were the defending champions while new teams included Rugby Lions and London Irish who were promoted from the 1990–91 Courage League National Division Two. Each team played each other once.
Bath were the champions, retaining their title (and third overall), beating Orrell by one point, while Nottingham and Rosslyn Park were the relegated to the 1992–93 Courage League National Division Two.
