The 1st Michigan Sharpshooters Regiment was an infantry regiment that served in the Union Army's Army of the Potomac during the American Civil War. It is noted for being the first unit to push into and take Petersburg, Virginia, at the end of the Petersburg Campaign and the start of the Appomattox Campaign on April 3rd, 1865.
