The 2004 season was the New York Giants' 80th in the National Football League (NFL) and their first under head coach Tom Coughlin. After starting the season 5–2 the Giants lost eight games in a row before winning the final game of the season to finish 6–10, good enough for second place in the NFC East by tiebreaker. This would be the Giant's last season under .500 until 2013.
