The 2025–26 Detroit Pistons season will be the 85th season of the franchise, the 78th in the National Basketball Association (NBA), and the ninth in Midtown Detroit.
The Pistons finished the previous regular season at 44–38, their best record since 2016. In the first round of the playoffs they matched up with the New York Knicks. In the first round, the Pistons secured their first playoff win since the 2008 Eastern Conference Finals on April 21, 2025, breaking their NBA record 15-game postseason losing streak. The Pistons were ultimately defeated by the Knicks in six games.
