A special election was held in the U.S. state of Mississippi on April 15, 2025, to elect a new member for District 18 in the Mississippi Senate, representing parts of Leake, Neshoba, and Winston counties. The election filled a vacancy caused by the resignation of Republican senator Jenifer Branning, who was elected to the Mississippi Supreme Court in a runoff in November, 2024. Political newcomer Lane Taylor was elected to the seat outright in the first round.
