The 2025 NBA Finals is the ongoing championship series of the National Basketball Association (NBA)'s 2024–25 season and conclusion to the season's playoffs. The best-of-seven series is being played between the Eastern Conference champion Indiana Pacers and the Western Conference champion Oklahoma City Thunder. The series began on June 5 and is scheduled to conclude with Game 7 on June 22, the first NBA Finals Game 7 since 2016. With a league-best record of 68–14, the Thunder have home-court advantage in the Finals.
After the defending NBA champion Boston Celtics were eliminated by the New York Knicks in the second round, the 2025 NBA Finals was assured of crowning its seventh unique champion in seven years, the longest stretch in league history. The finals is also the first since 2006 where both cities are chasing their first championship.
