The 2025 Taiwan Exercise is a military exercise organized by the Eastern Theater Command of the People's Liberation Army of the People's Republic of China from 1–2 April 2025, involving the command's land, sea, air, and rocket forces. The exercise was conducted in the vicinity of the Matsu Islands and the main island of Taiwan. The drill on 2 April, held in the central and southern parts of the Taiwan Strait, was code-named "Strait Thunder–2025A".
