Al Qadarif (Arabic: القضارف Al Qaḍārif), also spelled Gedaref or Gadarif, is one of the 18 wilayat (states) of Sudan. It covers an area of 75,263 km2 and had an estimated population of approximately 2,208,385 as of 2018. Al Qadarif is the state’s capital, with other notable towns including Doka and Gallabat. The state also encompasses the disputed Al Fushqa District.
