Alcaraz–Sinner rivalry
The tennis rivalry between Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner is one of the foremost of the 2020s. The pair, colloquially referred to by the media and fans as "Sincaraz", have faced each other twelve times since 2021, with Alcaraz leading the rivalry 8–4, including 3–1 at majors and leading 3–1 in finals. They are considered to be two of the best tennis players of their generation, each winning multiple major titles (Alcaraz with five and Sinner with three) and both reaching the world No. 1 ranking. As the most successful men's tennis players born after the 1980s (following from the Big Three era), the pair have been dubbed by some commentators as the "New Two" or the "Big Two".
Their rivalry has been described as "potentially era-defining", with multiple matches regarded as classics, including the 2022 US Open quarterfinals and the 2025 French Open final, both of which Alcaraz won after saving match points in the fourth set.
