Alexander Lasarenko (July 13, 1963 – November 8, 2020) was an American composer, classical pianist, and creative director most known for the creation of the four-note Disney Channel mnemonic that was utilized on their bumpers since 2002.
He was also known for his works in films such as Hedwig and the Angry Inch, The Loneliest Whale: The Search for 52, and Dinner Rush. In 2002, he started his own company, Tonal Sound, after a long career at Elias Arts.
He died on November 8, 2020 after a short battle with cancer.
