Jamshid Ali Dizaei (Persian: جمشید علی دیزایی, transliteration: Jamshīd ʿAlī Dizaī; Persian pronunciation: [dizɒːjiː]) (born 1962) is a British-Iranian former police officer who was convicted of misconduct in a public office and perverting the course of justice in 2012. After starting his police career at Thames Valley Police in 1986, Dizaei joined the Metropolitan Police in 1999, rising through the ranks ultimately to the position of Commander in 2008.
