AlliedSignal, Inc. was an American aerospace, automotive and engineering company, created through the 1985 merger of Allied Corp. and The Signal Companies. It purchased Honeywell for $14.8 billion in 1999, and adopted the Honeywell name and identity.
AlliedSignal was a member of the Dow Jones Industrial Average from 1985 until 1999 when was carried over into Honeywell on the Dow Jones Industrial Average from it purchased in 1999 until initially dropped on February 19, 2008 until August 31, 2020 when it added back to Dow Jones Industrial Average.
