Alston's brown mouse, also called Alston's singing mouse, short-tailed singing mouse, or singing mouse (Scotinomys teguina), is a species of rodent in the family Cricetidae. It is found in Central America, from Chiapas, Mexico, to western Panama.

This species produces vocalizations in both the sonic and ultrasonic range that are thought to be an important component of its communication behavior.
