Alvaro Martin Bedoya (born February 21, 1982) is an American attorney and government official who served on the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) from 2022 until 18 March 2025, when he was fired by President Donald Trump.
Known for his focus on digital privacy issues, Bedoya was the founding director of the Center on Privacy and Technology at the Georgetown University Law Center. Bedoya is a member of the Democratic Party and was nominated to the position by President Joe Biden.
