Alvito (Portuguese pronunciation: [alˈvitu] ⓘ), officially the Town of Alvito (Portuguese: Vila de Alvito), is a municipality in the Beja District of southern Portugal. The population in 2011 was 2,504, in an area of 264.85 km2.
The current president municipal chamber is António João Feio Valério.
