Ashwin Vasan (born November 15, 1980) is an American physician, epidemiologist, and health and human services leader, who is a public health professor and practicing primary care doctor at Columbia University, who most recently served as the 44th commissioner of the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. Vasan was also the president and CEO of Fountain House, a national mental health nonprofit.
