Athea (/æˈteɪ/ a-TAY; Irish: Áth an tSléibhe or Áth Té) is a village in west County Limerick, Ireland. Athea has a Roman Catholic church, and is the centre for the parish of Athea, which encompasses several nearby townlands. As of the 2022 census, the village of Athea had a population of 418 people. The R523 and R524 regional roads meet at a junction within the village.
