Atmanirbhar Bharat (transl. 'Self-Reliant India') is a phrase popularized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his administration, led by the Bharatiya Janata Party, for economic self-sufficiency and national development during a pandemic. The term serves as an umbrella concept encompassing the government's vision for India to become more efficient, competitive, and resilient, while expanding its role in the global economy by developing India into a "global supply chain hub".

Although Modi had referenced the English term "self-reliance" as early as 2014 in discussions surrounding national security, poverty alleviation, and the Digital India initiative, the Hindi phrase Atmanirbhar Bharat Abhiyan (Self-Reliant India Mission) gained prominence during the announcement of India's economic stimulus package in response to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
