Azerbaijan Higher Naval Academy

The Azerbaijan Higher Naval Academy (Azerbaijani: Azərbaycan Ali Hərbi Dənizçilik Məktəbi) is an educational institution of the Azerbaijani Naval Forces. It is part of the education system of the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan. It was originally founded in 1939, during Soviet times, when it was called the Caspian Higher Naval Red Banner School named after Sergei Kirov (Russian: Каспийское высшее военно-морское Краснознамённое училище имени С. М. Кирова, romanized: Kaspiyskoye vyssheye voyenno-morskoye Krasnoznamyonnoye uchilishche imeni S. M. Kirova).also formerly known Kirov Naval Academy
