BAA Buffalo

BAA Buffalo was a planned basketball franchise in the Basketball Association of America (BAA), one of the forerunners of the modern National Basketball Association (NBA), based in Buffalo, New York. The franchise was granted on June 6, 1946, but never played a game and was officially cancelled by the BAA on May 10, 1948, after the league voted to grant an expansion franchise under the ownership of John D. Herring, which was ultimately declined on his end alongside expansion teams for Louisville and Wilkes-Barre.
