The Barlas (Mongolian: Barulās; Chagatay/Persian: برلاس Barlās; also Berlās) were a Mongol tribe, and later Turco-Mongol nomadic confederation in Central Asia, a sub-clan of Kiyat-Borjigin, first emerged in Khamag Mongol Confederations, around early to mid 12th-centuries, With Military roots in one of the regiments of the Mongol Empires Kheshig army. the Barlas spawned two major imperial dynasties in Asia: the Timurid Empire in Central Asia and Persia; and its later branch, the Mughal Empire in the Indian subcontinent.
