Barrackpore (Bengali pronunciation: [bærakpur]), also known as Barrackpore,is a city and municipality in North 24 Parganas district in the Indian state of West Bengal. It is the headquarters of the Barrackpore subdivision. The city is a part of the area covered by Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority (KMDA).
