Basajaun

In Basque mythology, Basajaun (Basque pronunciation: [bas̺ajaun], "Lord of the forest", plural: basajaunak, female basandere) is a huge, hairy hominid dwelling in the woods. They were thought to protect flocks of livestock, and teach skills such as agriculture and ironworking to humans.
