Begum Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib (8 August 1930 – 15 August 1975), commonly known as Begum Mujib or Bangamata and also known by her nickname Renu was the wife of Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the founding President of Bangladesh.
She was the mother of Sheikh Hasina, the leader of the Awami League and former Prime Minister from 2009 to 2024. She was killed along with her family.
