Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP), also known as Save the Daughter, Educate the Daughter Scheme is a flagship social campaign of the Government of India launched on 22 January 2015 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Panipat, Haryana. The scheme aims to address the declining child sex ratio (CSR) and to promote the education and empowerment of girls across the country. It is a tri-ministerial initiative jointly run by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, and the Ministry of Education (formerly the Ministry of Human Resource Development).

The campaign seeks to combat deep-rooted gender bias and discrimination against girls by raising awareness, encouraging community participation, and improving the delivery of welfare services meant for women and girls. It also emphasizes the importance of girl child survival, safety, and access to quality education. Initially launched in 100 gender-critical districts, the programme has since expanded to cover all districts in India.
