Cachaca or kchaka (Spanish pronunciation: [kaˈt͡ʃa.ka]) is a musical genre that originated in Paraguay in the late 1970s and early 1980s. It is descended from Colombian cumbia, Mexican cumbia, grupera music, and Tecnocumbia.
