Campos dos Goytacazes ([ˈkɐ̃puz duz ɡojtaˈkazis]) is a city located in the northern region of Rio de Janeiro State, Brazil, with a population of 483,540 inhabitants. It is the largest city in Rio de Janeiro (state) outside of the Greater Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area.
