Carl Richard Young (May 14, 1968 – May 31, 2013) was an American meteorologist and storm chaser who worked with the TWISTEX research team. He was one of the first storm chasers in the United States to die during a tornado; he was killed during the 2013 El Reno tornado, along side Tim Samaras and
