Carlos Ramirez-Rosa (born February 18, 1989) is an American politician and the incumbent superintendent and CEO of the Chicago Park District. He previously served as Alderperson for Chicago's 35th Ward from May 2015 until his appointment to the Park District in April 2025.
Ramirez-Rosa was first elected to the Council in 2015, become one of the chamber's youngest members ever elected at age 26. He was re-elected in 2019 and 2023.
He is a self-described democratic socialist and a member of the Democratic Socialists of America. Ramirez-Rosa is a member of the Chicago City Council's Progressive Reform Caucus, and was elected as a delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention as a Bernie Sanders supporter. He was an Illinois State Vice-chair for Bernie Sanders' 2020 presidential campaign.
