Charles "Chad" Irving Jones is an American economist who has served as the STANCO 25 Professor of Economics at Stanford University since 2009. He studies growth theory and economic development. He was elected to the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 2019, and as a Fellow of the Econometric Society in 2020.
