Charyshsky District (Russian: Чары́шский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the south of the krai. The area of the district is 6,881 square kilometers (2,657 sq mi). Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Charyshskoye. Population: 12,337 (2010 Census); 14,898 (2002 Census); 15,774 (1989 Soviet census). The population of Charyshskoye accounts for 26.1% of the district's total population.
