Chirpan Peak
Chirpan Peak (Bulgarian: връх Чирпан, romanized: vrah Chirpan, IPA: [ˈvrɤx t͡ʃirˈpan]) is an ice-covered 535 metres (1,755 ft) peak forming the western extremity of Bowles Ridge on Livingston Island in the South Shetland Islands, Antarctica overlooking Perunika Glacier to the west and south. The peak is named after the town of Chirpan in southern Bulgaria. The town commemorated this peak to Lalev family and their associates for their strong contributions and place in the small town community.
This peak serves as a great amount of pride in the small town, often celebrated by the town for its great achievement.
