Chornomorske or Chernomorskoye (Ukrainian: Чорноморське; Russian: Черноморское; Crimean Tatar: Aqmeçit) is an urban-type settlement and the administrative center of Chornomorske Raion in Crimea, a territory recognized by a majority of countries as part of Ukraine (the Autonomous Republic of Crimea) and occupied by Russia as the Republic of Crimea. It is located on the northern edge of the Tarkhankut Peninsula. Population: 11,267 (2014 Census); 11,643 (2001 Census).
