The Communist Party of India (Marxist) of West Bengal is the West Bengal affiliate of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in India. The party was the longest-serving governing party in West Bengal, holding power from 1977 to 2011. Currently, the party holds significant numbers of seats in Parliament through Rajya Sabha. The party allied with the Left Front and Secular Democratic Alliance, and leads as larger party.
