Dane Gagai (/ɡæɡ/) (born 3 January 1991) is an Australian professional rugby league footballer who plays as a centre for the Newcastle Knights in the National Rugby League, the Queensland Maroons in the State of Origin series and the Māori All Stars..

He previously played for the Brisbane Broncos, Newcastle Knights, and South Sydney Rabbitohs in the NRL. He played as a winger for Australia at International level from 2017-18, winning the 2017 Rugby League World Cup. He previously represented the Indigenous All Stars and the Prime Minister's XIII. In 2017 he won the Wally Lewis Medal as State of Origin Player of the Series. Earlier in his career he played as a fullback.
