The Police of Denmark (Danish: Politiet, Faroese: Løgreglan, Greenlandic: Politiit) is the Danish National Police force, and the interior part of the Danish security forces (the Danish military being the exterior) in the Kingdom (The Danish Realm: Denmark (proper), Greenland, Faroe Islands). The police are empowered to enforce the law and to effect public and social order, as well as being responsible for border control.
