Deh Namak Caravanserai

Deh Namak Caravanserai is a Shah Abbasi Caravanserai (lit: "Salt village") is a historic site located in Deh Namak near, Aradan County, Garmsar, Iran. This ancient building is about 500 years old and was built during the Safavid era. The architecture of the Safavid era is clearly visible in this place. The Shah Abbasi Caravanserai in Deh Namak is located at kilometer 130 on the Tehran-Mashhad highway, right next to the road.

The caravanserai has 26 rooms for guests and tourists. The rooms include 23 double rooms, each about 11 square meters, with a capacity of 2 people, 1 special four-person room, and 2 royal rooms (with floor bedding) that can hold up to 12 people. Except for the special room, which has its own private restroom, the other rooms share restrooms in the courtyard.

Deh Namak Caravanserai features the traditional Safavid style, with a central courtyard, four iwans (arches), many small rooms around the courtyard, and a grand royal hall. The large and courtyard is a great place for family and friends to gather. Guests can enjoy the starry desert sky at night, far from the noise of the city.
