The East County News (known as the Brentwood News) was a weekly newspaper based in Brentwood, California, United States. It was published by the Bay Area News Group (BANG), a subsidiary of MediaNews Group. Founded in 1914, the Brentwood News was East Contra Costa's largest newspaper until it was replaced by the Brentwood Press in the early 2000s. The newspaper currently publishes every Friday as weekly community supplements of the East Bay Times.
