Faisal Mekdad (Arabic: فيصل المقداد; born 5 February 1954) is a Syrian diplomat and politician who served as the vice president of Syria from September to December 2024. He is the last person to serve in this position under president Bashar al-Assad and of the Ba'ath Party-led Syrian Arab Republic. Between 2020 and 2024, he was also a Foreign Minister of Syria. He served as Syria's Permanent Representative to the United Nations from 2003 until 2006.
