Fred Basset (born 4 October 2004 as Hoppa) is a greyhound dog that was owned and raced by Australian comedy duo Hamish & Andy. The dog's name is taken from the comic strip character Fred Basset, whose strip featured regularly on the Hamish & Andy radio show for a period of time. Since retiring from racing, Fred Basset has become an ambassador for greyhound adoption.
