Freedom Monument (or Nasb al-Hurriyah) (Arabic: نصب الحرية), located in al-Tahrir Square (Liberation Square) in the center of Baghdad, capital of Iraq, is a monument commemorating Iraq's declaration of independence. The monument was the work of husband and wife sculptors Jawad Saleem and Lorna Selim. It consists of bronze figures on a travertine wall, and depicts events from the 14 July Revolution. The bas-relief figures consciously reference ancient Mesopotamian art.
