Gene William Lamont (born December 25, 1946) is an American former catcher and manager who is a special assistant to the manager of the Pittsburgh Pirates. He played professionally in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Detroit Tigers and managed the Chicago White Sox (1992–1995) and Pittsburgh Pirates (1997–2000). He later served as a coach for the Tigers (2006–2017). He batted left-handed and threw right-handed.
