Gien (French pronunciation: [ʒjɛ̃]) is a commune in the Loiret department in north-central France.

Gien is on the river Loire, 80 km (50 mi) from Orléans. Gien station has rail connections to Montargis, Nevers and Paris. The town was bought for the royal domain by Philip II of France. The town is twinned with Malmesbury in England.
