Hachelbich is a small village and a former municipality in the district Kyffhäuserkreis, in Thuringia, Germany. Since 31 December 2012, it is part of the municipality Kyffhäuserland.
In the area of Hachelbich has been recently discovered a Roman marching camp of the first century AD: the Hachelbich Roman castrum. This castrum -discovered in 2009- is the first Roman military camp found in Central Germany (Thuringia) and was deep inside the short-lived Roman province of Germania
