Hauterive (French pronunciation: [otʁiv] ⓘ; Arpitan: Hôtariva) is a municipality in the district of Sarine in the canton of Fribourg in Switzerland. It was created from the union in 2001 of the villages of Posieux (French: [pɔzjø]; Arpitan: Posiôls [pɔˈʒy] ⓘ) and Ecuvillens (French: [ekyvijɑ̃s]; Arpitan: Ecuvilyens [ekyviˈjɛ̃] ⓘ).
